Kabarole Research and Resource Center (KRC) is a well-established NGO operating in the Rwenzori Region of Western Uganda. KRC was found in 1996 and started implementing projects in research, micro projects/ Income generation, human rights promotion, peace and conflict resolution, livelihoods, agri-business and value chains, civil society strengthening, HIV/AIDS and promoting children rights and education.

KACSOA LOGOKACSOA was established in the year 2000. KACSOA is network of approximately 83 active NGOs and CSOs operating in Sebei sub-region.

KACSOA started after a realization that the CSO fraternity in the region was working in isolation, with very limited collaboration and interaction and yet advocacy issues then required not only joint action, but also a strong common voice for any meaningful engagements with duty bearers. KACSOA envisions “a Ugandan Society where individuals exercise their full rights and potential”

It operates currently in 10 Districts composed of 8 in Bunyoro region, Nwoya and Mityana districts with an aim of building strong active citizens.

ngoforum logoUganda National NGO Forum was launched in 1997 following two years of concerted work to develop the operational structure, a Constitution and membership recruitment program. Many NGOs had realised the need to engage Government and the donor community on policy issues and poverty concerns. Also, Government found it increasingly important to involve Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in the design and implementation of policies and programmes.

The idea to form UNNGOF was to establish an organisation that would wholly represent CSOs while bringing together National NGOs, International NGOs, CBOs, Voluntary Development Organisations (VDOs), Farmers’ Groups, Cooperative Associations and other Citizens’ Organisations and interest groups from all thematic areas.

paconet logoPallisa civil society organizations’ Network (PACONET) was established in September 2000 and Registered as an NGO in 2003.  It is a Network of CBO’s, NGO’s, FBO’s and other development actors operating in Pallisa, Kibuku  and Budaka districts in the thematic areas of Good Governance, Health, Education, Health, Economic Empowerment, Agriculture, Gender, Human Rights and Environmental Conservation among others. PACONET was formed to develop strong common positions for addressing poverty through sharing of information, experiences as well as resources, among others.

It was born out of the East African Women’s Conference held in Kampala in 1993 in preparation for the UN World Conference on Women in Beijing, China in 1995. UWONET’s membership is comprised of national Women’s organizations and individuals.
