Civil society launches campaign to educate voters ahead of 2016 elections

The Citizens Coalition for Electoral Democracy Uganda (CCEDU) has launched a campaign called “TOPOWA” to educate and motivate voters to vote in the 2016 elections. Uganda has been experiencing growing voter apathy over the years and this formed one of the main challenges in the last General Election. CCEDU also hopes this will educate Ugandans on holding their leaders accountable in the lead-up to the elections.
