Nakaseke district Chairman says teachers will have to do PLE exams

Nakaseke district LC5 Chairperson Ignatius Koomu says he will not be hindered by the bureaucratic and legal procedures surrounding his plan to subject teachers in the district Primary Leaving Examinations to test their competence. The teachers umbrella body UNATU, the permanent secretary ministry of education and the Education service commission have all written to the chairperson to halt the exercise citing legal concerns.  Koomu says he is fighting a local problem which these officials have failed to handle
